Brilliant!…Massive!!
As if I didn’t have enough things to do, I got myself a new job…I mentioned before that I applied for a job at the help desk at Ambler’s Learning Center computer lab…well, Tuesday was my first day there…I think I already have the hang of the more day-to-day stuff, but there’s always room to learn more…I think it’s really funny how I’ve trained countless people to do various things at XPN, but I’m the ‘new guy’ at the help desk…of course, everyone there has a great sense of humor and they are all great to work with…there’s also this big binder of stuff for me to learn…
Day 197 - February 26th, 2008

You would think that around this time of year, things would start to be warming up a bit…in fact, we’ve had a few warm days here in the greater Philadelphia area, but then along comes another wintry mix as if to punish us for getting our meteorological advice from a groundhog…yeah, you can go on and on about how pretty it looks up in the trees, but I can’t stand this kind of weather…I will admit though, that it lent to pretty neat picture for this past Wednesday night…
Day 198 - February 27th, 2008
That’s the ramp that leads to the residence halls, and no, I didn’t take that picture in black and white…ooh, spooky!…
Thursday, after classes, Mom and Dad and I went to the London Calling Brit-Rock dance party at World Cafe Live…the event was a sort of capping off of XPN’s recent obsession with British rock, and was a lot of fun…there were a few other Y-Rock peoples there, and we danced and sang along to almost all of the songs…some of the bands that the DJs (Y-Rock’s own Anglophiles Jim McGuinn and Jared Styles) spun were New Order, The Kinks, Blur, Arctic Monkeys and just about every other British band to have recorded a hit song…they had all sorts of British-themed stuff, such as Union Jack bandannas and tattoos, and even the sign showing where the party was had a Tube theme…
Day 199 - February 28th, 2008
So, as you have probably noticed, this year is a leap year…I’m not entirely sure how I was going to go about labeling my Project 365 pictures so as to have the project end on August 13th, 2008…of course, I put off having to think about it until now, since Leap Day seemed so far off…anyway, math whiz that I am decided that I would make February 29th, 2008 Day 199.5…if that only screws things up more, please let me know now before I muck up the rest of this whole thing…
Anyway, Mike Doughty’s new album has a re-recorded version of his song “27 Jennifers”…a funny and catchy song, indeed, the World Cafe (that’s the radio program, not the venue) recently saluted Jennifers and Jennys in songs with a playlist of 27 songs about Jennifer…Mom has a cousin named Jenny, and she wants me to find all 27 songs (I already had 4 in my library) to put onto some CDs…if nothing else, it gave me a chance to root through XPN’s music library with some sense of direction (a rare happening)…so while I was doing my Y-Rock shift yesterday, I amassed most of the 23 other songs about Jennifers…
Day 199.5 - February 29th, 2008
Today, Erin and I went to see The Swimmers at AKA Music…a cute little record shop, AKA had an impressive selection of stuff, old and new…I ended up getting 3 CDs, though they didn’t have the two groups I was actually looking for (those two groups being Was (Not Was) and Godley & Creme)…I got a best of the Television Personalities, a Bush Tetras record, and Roger The Engineer by The Yardbirds…The Swimmers were really good, and I am glad that I got to see them again (and I look forward to seeing them again sometime soon)…
Day 200 - March 1st, 2008
Yeah, the space upstairs at AKA was pretty poorly lit, so none of my pictures came out that well (though I kinda like how woody the floor looks)…afterward, Mom and Dad and I went to Copa for dinner, where we stuffed ourselves with sammiches and pie, then we went to Crash Bang Boom (the new home of Zipperhead), where I got a neat shirt and a Sonic Youth pin and Dad got some shoes…
That’s it for now, but I’ll likely do a News in Brief tomorrow or Monday…

Lyric of the Time:
Efficiency efficiency they say
Get to know the date and tell the time of day
As the crowds begin complaining
How the Beaujolais is raining
Down on darkened meetings on Champs Elysee
