Yeh Yeh
January 2nd 2007 by E..
The way I see it, I had had it up to here with 2006, so it’s just as well…
Friday night, Dad and I went to the Kimmel Center and saw the original “The Phantom Of The Opera” being shown with a live organist playing along…he said that though the film had a score that was played along with the picture, he would be improvising, though it was clear that he had practiced beforehand to learn the cues…there’s no denying how powerful and totally neato Lon Chaney’s work was…the stupid people behind us were reading in the program that, when the film originally debuted, it was said that people fainted at the sight of the unmasked Phantom…they then went on for waaaay too long about how the one woman wasn’t going to look…I would love to think that they were kidding, but I highly doubt it…in the end, it was quite unique and enjoyable, even though people continue to be impossibly inconsiderate in public…
Saturday night, I went to the Fig Caf
