Perception
A whole bunch of things have been going on, all of them very cool…some of them were in “Back To The Future”…
Last Thursday, the actual day of the advance screening of “Nightmare Before Christmas” in 3D…I know, I know…I can’t see 3D…but I love that movie, so it was great to see in the theater again, even if it wasn’t jumping off the screen at me…it was hosted by Wired 96.5, and we got some free cookies and Wired 96.5 crap…they were asking trivia questions about their stations, about which we know nothing, so we were answering with XPN answers, since, unlike most people think, we have little to no lives…
Totally speaking of, Friday I got all of XPN’s XTC albums (which is hard to say, if you think about it), and Mandy turned me on to a cool local musician, Nate Farrar…very cool and bluesy, and local no less…makes me look even more forward to the Philly Local party and live broadcast tomorrow night…maybe I’ll even see Phil Roy’s dog!!
Friday night, Dad and I (and Arlenne, too!) went to the Helium comedy club at 21st and Sansom to see Tom Wilson, who most people know for playing Biff in all three “Back To The Future” movies…before he was an ac-tor, he was a stand up comedian (he’s from the area, too), and he used to perform at The Comedy Works, a club that Dad frequented in the 80’s…after the show, we met Tom and Dad told him all the things he remembers from his act in the 80’s, and Tom was visibly nostalgically happy…I know what you’re wondering, and the answer is yes…

I guess Tom went to the Rick Nielsen School Of Posing For Pictures…ah well
Sunday, we went to see “Nightmare” again, though there were a lot of people there who were dead, as was suspected…we met up with Kari there, and took her for dinner at California Pizza Kitchen, where we acted silly (also as was suspected)…
So now I’m listening to The Boys at #7 on the 885 All Time Greatest Artists Countdown…came back from class just in time to hear the first song from the hour of music allotted to them (everyone in the top 10 gets an hour)…woke up to Joni Mitchell, but fell asleep again and really woke up to Pink Floyd, so that was much better…
How can I dress up as John Doe for the Countdown Costume Party?…maybe I’ll just walk around with my hood pulled down really low so no one can see me, and then sing about Illinois a little bit, if nobody minds…
