Seeing The English Beat with their guests was easily one of the most enjoyable concerts I have ever been to, and that’s saying a lot…Dave Wakeling has so much energy, and the band was totally rockin’…Lynval Golding (of The Specials) led everyone in a few Specials classics, including what I thought was the highlight of the performance, “Nite Klub”…all that aside, everyone was talking about Pauline Black (of The Selecter)…she said that she and her mates Dave and Lynval have been doing this since 1979, and she looks exactly the same…the next morning, Michaela played “On My Radio” during the Women’s Music Hour, and said that she wants to test and be injected with Pauline Black’s blood, because she has obviously found the Fountain of Youth…it was very cool…Saw a bunch of XPN people there, like Michaela, Robert and Sarah, as well as Rob (the production guy), who was having more fun than anyone else there…the band just didn’t want to leave; they did a few more songs than were on the setlist (which I got, of course), to which I commented “They’re gonna start doing Madness songs once they run out of material!”…Pictures will be up on my Photobucket in a bit…
